Are you stressed about finding a work-life balance?

Even trying to achieve the ideal work-life balance can be stressful. The good news is that stress and leading a fruitful life can occur if you are experiencing the strain of growing your business while maintaining your lifestyle. You can find the balance that works best for you if you are mindful.

How much stress is beneficial for you?

The goal is to prevent your stress levels from pushing you down the other side of the bell curve, as demonstrated by the Yerkes-Dodson rule, which states that an individual’s performance increases with stress until cortisol levels get too high and then quickly declines again. Everyone has a different threshold for what is excessive, but you may use your stress levels for good if you recognize them and manage them effectively.

How to manage your stress

  1. Take Control – Feeling in control can decrease stress from harmful levels by presenting the pressure causes as surmountable challenges. Get a handle on your project, tasks, or day by breaking them down into achievable goals and making prioritizing choices.

  2. Get positive – Your perception of your stress is essential; rather than lending to panic and inertia, recognize the first quickening of your heart rate calmly as powerful, making you more alert and capable.

  3. Connect – Social support reduces stress, so good relationships within a team and the wider office environment make everyone more resilient to stress.

  4. Exercise – A good workout reduces bad stress and is suitable for the brain, heart, and lungs.

  5. Sleep – Poor sleep is insufficient for stress levels and health, so be disciplined about getting a good night’s rest. Being exhausted will increase susceptibility to further stress and damage productivity.
